Series 108
ProBond
Generic Type
Low Stress Penetrating Epoxy Sealer
Common Usage
Series 108 ProBond is a thin-film, low-stress, epoxy designed to adhere to a multitude of substrates, including old finishes, and is frequently used as an overcoating primer. Series 108 is solvent-free and is applied at a low film thickness to reduce stress and weight on old tightly adhered coatings creating a foundation to accept high-performance epoxy and polyurethane finishes. Also used, when specified, as the primer under Lavacrete polymer concrete epoxy toppings. NOT FOR IMMERSION SERVICE. Formerly Series 3600 ProBond. Note: Adhesion analysis of old finishes and test patches are recommended before overcoating a structure. Reference the latest version of Tnemec Technical Bulletin 98-10 for more information.
Special Qualifications
Series 108 meets the requirements of LEED-Low-Emitting Materials, Collaborative for High-Performance Schools-Paints & Coatings, WELL Building Standard-VOC Restrictions, and Living Building Challenge–Healthy Interior Performance. Contact your Tnemec representative for more information.

Note: The following maximum recoat times apply: Series 469, 470, 479, 72 hours; Series 1028, 15 days.
Curing Time
Temperature | To Handle | To Topcoat |
---|---|---|
90°F (32°C) | 24 hours | 14 hours |
75°F (24°C) | 42-48 hours | 12-18 hours |
50°F (10°C) | 72-96 hours | 36-48 hours |
ProBond may be topcoated as soon as it has become dry to touch or up to the maximum time to topcoat as listed above. The early-stage application does not denote or imply that the coating is hard enough for handling or moving, or that it has sufficient resistance to staging or equipment damage.
