An Update on Tnemec Operations and COVID-19
A Few Notes from Our President, Chase Bean
JUNE 1, 2020
The public health crisis surrounding COVID-19 is constantly changing, but Tnemec remains dedicated to the health and safety of our employees and business partners, dutifully following public health guidelines issued by the CDC as well as state, county, and local municipal government authorities.
Our products and expertise continue to responsibly support essential infrastructure and other ongoing projects, while we focus on protecting our internal employees and representatives, upholding our fundamental family values for the wellbeing of those associated with our business.
Over the last month, our privately owned company has been able to keep all of our facilities online – and retain all of our employees – by scaling our production, adjusting our inventory and creating flexible work schedules to meet our demand. By remaining in contact with many of our long-time customers and other invaluable resources in the industry, Tnemec has also been able to plan and ship our customers’ orders with unprecedented success, shipping every order on time for the last 30+ days.
Now, as we enter a new phase in the pandemic, we will continue to take the proper precautions to ensure the safety of our team and yours, and we’ll look forward to the day that we can again see our many customers in the field.

MARCH 20, 2020
I am writing today with information regarding Tnemec Company’s response and preparedness for the current public health crisis known as COVID-19.
We take great care in consideration for the safety and wellbeing of our employees, customers, and associated stakeholders connected to Tnemec’s business. At present, we are dutifully following public health guidelines issued by the CDC as well as state, county, and local municipal government authorities. Many of our associates are able to work from home, and we are exercising abundant caution with on-site working conditions as well.
While normal life is disrupted, Tnemec is taking extra steps to provide business continuity for our customers. This includes:
- Our procurement team is in close contact with suppliers who are not reporting unusual disruptions in the global supply chain at this time.
- Tnemec’s inventories are at their annual high point in preparation for strong seasonal business in the springtime. Our distribution centers are sufficiently stocked, and we are actively shipping at all locations.
- Tnemec has contingency plans in place for staggering work schedules and helping to accommodate more restrictive working guidelines, should this become necessary.
- Tnemec’s freight lines are operational, and we believe delivery schedules will remain uninterrupted as much as possible.
In short summary, Tnemec is well prepared to support your coating supply needs while still meeting the public health safety guidelines and upholding our fundamental family values for the wellbeing of those associated with our business.
Your confidence in Tnemec Company matters! We thank you for your continued support. We look forward to being a part of your success in 2020 and beyond as we prepare for our Centennial anniversary in 2021.
