Common Usage
A 100% volume solids, Abrasion Resistant Overcoat (ARO) system designed to protect fusion bonded epoxy (FBE) on underground piping during directional- and thrust-bore drilling and and other severe abrasive pipeline applications. ARO can also be used as a direct to metal (DTM) system to protect steel or ductile iron substrates when HDD (horizontal directional drilling) or abrasion is a concern. 20.0 to 40.0 mils (510 to 1015 microns) in one coat with multiple passes. Note: A high-build application of 40.0 to 100.0 mils (1016 to 2540 microns) can be achieved using rotating pipe in shop or when using other custom OEM configurations.
