Series 307
Tank Armor
Generic Type
Polyamine Epoxy
Common Usage
A versatile, high-build, epoxy internal lining applied in a single coat by plural component equipment. Its enhanced chemical resistance and physical properties make it an excellent, cost-effective choice for corrosion control in tanks handling brine water, drilling mud, mild temperature backflow, and a wide range of chemicals used in the oil and gas industry. Series 307 contains micro-fiber reinforcement for enhanced film integrity.
Special Qualifications
Series 307 conforms to API-652 Section 6.4 and 6.5 for thick film, reinforced liner coatings for above ground storage tanks.

Curing Time
| Temperature | To Touch | To Handle |
|---|---|---|
| 110°F (43°C) | 1½ hours | 2 hours |
| 73°F (23°C) | 3 hours | 9 hours |
| 45°F (7°C)^†^ | 8 hours | Not Tested |
Curing time will vary with surface temperature, air movement, humidity and film thickness. ^†^45% R.H. Note: This coating commonly develops an amine-blush during cure. While this condition will not adversely affect the performance of the coating, this blush must be removed prior to recoating. Wipe the surface clean with a solution of 70% isopropyl alcohol (IPA) and 30% water, followed by an aggressive sweep blast to remove the gloss. Contact Tnemec Technical Services for more information. Note: If more than 7 days have elapsed between coats, the Series 307 coated surface must be mechanically abraded before topcoating.
Primers
Self-priming or Series 61, 161. Note: For surfaces with light to moderate pitting, priming the surface prior to the Series 307 application may prevent holidays in the cured film. Note: The following maximum recoat times apply when topcoating with Series 307; Series 61, 14 days; Series 61, 30 days. If this time limit is exceeded, or if Series 161 is exterior exposed for more than 14 days, the primer must be uniformly scarified prior to topcoating. Note: Series 161 is for crude oil service only.
