In 2002, Michael became a representative trainee for Tnemec where he received extensive, hands-on training in the latest protective coating technology. The NACE Level 1 Coating Inspector is specially trained in the use of low volatile organic compound (VOC) coating materials used for field-applied architectural primers and finishes. He understands that low-VOC coatings are less forgiving of contamination and marginal surface preparation than solvent-based products, making him an invaluable resource for architects, painting contractors and asset owners who have made a commitment to sustainability in the Northeast region. Michael graduated from Marietta College in Marietta, Ohio, with a bachelor’s degree in Management, and earned the Construction Documents Technology (CDT) certificate from the Construction Specifications Institute (CSI).
