As principal representative of Coating Resources, Randy has helped solidify the agency’s reputation as the premier source of reliable coating solutions for industrial, municipal, and specialty architectural markets in the Upper Midwest. A natural service-oriented individual, Randy receives great fulfillment in assisting his clients; whether it is with coating evaluation and selection, specification assistance, technical presentations, failure analysis or jobsite consultation. Prior to joining Coating Resources in 2000, Randy worked in polymer research at 3M Company as well as in business consulting for Computer Sciences Corporation. He was also a silver medalist in short track speedskating at the 1994 Olympics in Lillehammer, Norway. His technical and consulting background, coupled with his drive, has provided Randy with a unique ability to effectively serve his clients. Randy holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Minnesota and is a NACE Certified Coating Inspector. In addition, he is an active member of The Construction Specification Institute (CSI) where he has earned the Construction Documents Technology (CDT) certificate. He is also actively involved with The Society for Protective Coatings (SSPC), the American Water Works Association (AWWA), and the Minnesota Rural Water Association (MNRWA). In his spare time Randy enjoys golf, hunting, fishing, and spending time with his wife and two young boys.
